Jennica Garcia confirms that she is working on having her marriage with Alwyn Uytingco annulled after they two failed to reconcile.
“Definitely, we are already separated. Mga three years na now. And we are working on the annulment,” the actress announced during a media launch for a brand she is endorsing.
“Yung second chance kay Alwyn, nabigay ko na po yun sa kanya at dumating na po yung point na wala na talaga akong kayang ibigay.”

She also admitted that she has no plans for the time being to get married again as she needs a lot of healing from her failed relationship.
“I don’t see myself doing it again. Siguro in the future pero sa ngayon hindi ko po talaga ma-imagine. Kasi nag naisip ko magtitiwala na naman ako ng buong buo sa isang tao. Hindi ko alam kung kaya ko pang i-survive yung next blow of heartbreak. Maybe because I need a lot of healing,” she said.
“Mahirap na ako ma-in love ngayon. Pa-tatlong taon na tayong single pero habang patagal ng patagal, natututo ka na manood ng sine mag-isa, kumain mag-isa, tapos you also feed others. Nagkakaroon na po ako ng kumpiyansa sa sarili ko,” she added. “Pakiramdam ko po yung bagong pag-ibig, para mahulog yung loob ko sa iba, dapat po magaling po sya. Kasi paano yan magaling na rin ako? Pasensya na kung mayabang ang dating pero ginapang ko talaga itong healing ko eh. Ang layo na ng naitawid ko sa sarili ko, especially with my mental battle.”
Despite everything, Jennica still expressed gratitude for her estranged husband. Now, she wants to focus on herself and her two children, Athena Mori and Alexis Severina.
“I’m turning 34 in a couple of months,” she said. “I really like myself now. It’s a really good feeling that every decision I make in life will benefit myself. If I am able to put myself first, I’d be able to put [out] the version of myself.”

This news comes months after Jennica confirmed that she and Alwyn parted ways again last February, nearly two years since they first split in early 2021. In October of that year, Alwyn made a public post thanking his wife for giving him “a second chance” to repair their relationship and become a better husband.
The two married in February 2014. It was in March 2021 when rumors of their separation started circulating online as fans discovered that Jennica removed photos of Alwyn from her Instagram account. She also asked for help from followers with changing her username which, at the time, included her husband’s last name.
