It seems that Jennica Garcia and Alwyn Uytingco are taking the necessary steps to rebuild their broken marriage, five months after their confirmed split.
In a Facebook post shared on Sunday, October 17, Alwyn wrote a message to his wife revealing that she has given him “a second chance” to repair their relationship and become a better husband.
“‘Habibi.’ When God gives you something you don’t deserve, that’s what He calls grace. I have to admit, I don’t deserve my family. I don’t deserve a second chance. Please don’t get me wrong, I will do everything for another chance in this life. And I will fight the good fight to retake my family. Yet I realize that it’s impossible to achieve if I rely on my strength alone,” he began on his post.
“Without God and His guidance, His grace… I am with no purpose. And without my wife’s boundless patience and love… I will be lifeless. Thank you, mahal, for not quitting on me. Thank you for letting me continue this life we started together. Thank you for giving me a wonderful gift of ‘second chance’, and one that I don’t deserve at all.”
“‘Just because the past is painful doesn’t mean the future will be.’ I will always be your Habibi. Till death do us part. I love you,” he ended.
Jennica and Alwyn married in February 2014 and share two children together. It was last March when rumors of their separation started circulating online when fans discovered that Jennica removed photos of Alwyn from her Instagram account. She also asked for help from followers with changing her username which, at the time, included her husband’s last name.
She then wrote a heartfelt letter addressed to her two daughters in April which insinuated that there will be a major change in the household. “But despite the heartache I am going through, I am able to keep the Joy in my heart and will continue to praise God with every cry because even if my plans have failed, I know that our loving Father’s plan for us is always good. His decision to allow this to happen in our life is not to destroy us. Never to destroy us mga anak. Instead of sadness, [let’s] rejoice because God is close to the brokenhearted,” she said.
It was in June, a month after Jennica confirmed their split, when they were rumored to be reconciling once more.
