The four-man rock band’s upcoming two-day show means many things for fans. Some long-time supporters have waited for years to watch Zild, Unique, Blaster, and Badjao perform together again at their first solo concert since 2019. Meanwhile, others who have just discovered IV of Spades will watch them perform for the first time.

Either way, we’re beyond stoked to enjoy the group’s extensive, award-winning discography up close and in person.

IV of Spades’ impact on Original Pinoy Music (OPM) is rooted in the band’s diversity, artistic growth, and emotional storytelling. Though each member pursued a separate path throughout their careers, their unexpected yet widely recognized reunion has proven that their passion for making music never wavers.

No matter how long you’ve been a fan of the band, you deserve front-row seats to their concert this month. Here are seven iconic songs by IV of Spades that we can’t wait to rock out and sing along to:

“Ilaw Sa Daan”

“Sulitin mo ang gabi bago sumapit ang araw.”

“Ilaw Sa Daan” is one of the first songs that IV of Spades shared with the world. Fans hold a special place in their hearts for the single, as it portrays the struggles and hardships that we experience every day.

The song also reflects on the sacrifices we make to make our dreams a reality. New opportunities and environments will welcome us with open arms, but they’ll also overwhelm us and pull us away from the lives we’ve grown used to and have come to love.

“Hey Barbara”

“I don’t care what they say, I’m just trying to be one of the boys.”

IV of Spades rose to prominence in the OPM scene with a distinct sound we don’t often encounter—laid-back, experimental, and nostalgic, with catchy lyrics that never fail to get us grooving.

“Hey Barbara” is the band’s breakthrough single that got them discovered and booked on numerous local music shows. If you came across this song in high school, you probably remember how it dominated the Myx Daily Top Ten charts for several consecutive weeks. The ‘70s-inspired track showcases funky beats, old-school fashion, and warm-toned visuals from the band.

Their follow-up single, “Where Have You Been, My Disco?” captures the same upbeat energy as they lit up the dance floor in style.

“Mundo”

“Hindi na maliligaw, mundo’y magiging ikaw.”

Hopeless romantics have never been the same since IV of Spades released “Mundo” in 2018. The group broke away from the dance-pop elements of their previous singles and poured their emotions into a rock ballad that every Filipino has dedicated to their lovers, crushes, and significant others.

Seven years later, “Mundo” remains one of the band’s most well-loved songs. It’s safe to say that hearing the track live at their concert will be as unforgettable as the first time we listened to it.

“Come Inside of My Heart”

“Come inside of my heart if you’re looking for answers. Look at the stars, go a little but faster.”

“Come Inside of My Heart” is a lead single on IV of Spades’ first studio album, CLAPCLAPCLAP, which was released in 2019. The song marks the band’s transition into alternative, indie, and rock music, with more emotionally charged vocals and sentimental lyrics than their past work.

Since 2022, “Come Inside of My Heart” has been going viral on TikTok thanks to international artists and content creators. Fortnite even made a special emote for it in October this year. The track’s resurgence online was also powerful enough to finally bring the band back together.

“Bata, Dahan-dahan”

“‘Di puwedeng mabulag, makinig sa tamang tinig.”

This impactful anthem about social justice was released in 2018 and remains relevant today.

“Bata, Dahan-dahan” reminds us to keep our eyes, hearts, and minds open to the country’s plight and the pressing truths that Filipinos endure every day. It was one of the many OPM songs that resurfaced during the nationwide anti-corruption protests on September 21, 2025.

“Aura”

“Tingnan natin nang husto ang makulay kong mundo, kahit minsa’y magulo.”

We all remember where we were when IV of Spades released “Aura” out of the blue. Though nothing could’ve prepared us to welcome all four members back, we couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate their return as a group to the local music scene.

“Aura” marks a new era that’s sentimental, calm, and solemn after all the ups and downs that the band endured prior. We’re ready to watch the band perform the award-winning song at the SM MOA Arena this December, along with the rest of the tracks on their latest album, Andalucia.
