Ice Seguerra is still on cloud nine after his amazing opening performance at Alanis Morissette’s two-night concert, where he sang his popular hit Pagdating ng Panahon and several song covers, Eraserheads’ Ang Huling El Bimbo and Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit. On Instagram, he penned a heartfelt letter to the Canadian singer-songwriter, whom he called his “hero.”
“Dear @alanins, thank you so much for making time to meet us today. When I told you you were my hero, I wanted to let you know that Mary Jane made me feel better during rough times in my teenage years. Perfect was my companion when I felt like I wasn’t good enough. During my late 20s, You Learn made me feel like all the shit I had to endure made me stronger. Now that I’m almost in my 40s, Thank You sums up my gratitude for my life journey,” he wrote.
The former child star also posted photos of them together, as he had his once-in-a-lifetime fan boy moment! He said he’s been singing Morissette’s songs even before he started his music career, and he had grown to appreciate her songs on a “deeper level.”
He even recalled attending her concert, “I was in the audience when you first came to the Philippines; I watched the JLP anniversary tour a few years back in California. I bought concert tickets when it was announced that you were coming here. I just wanted to relive the songs that are a big part of my core. But I never thought I would open the concert and meet you.”

Ice expressed his gratitude and joy for getting the chance to sing along with Morissette’s songs, which he called his comfort and inspiration for the past 25 years.
“We are grateful to have you here in the Philippines. You and your band were awe-inspiring. Have a great tour!!! Your forever fan, Ice,” he concluded.
Morissette recently had her concert in Manila on August 1 and 2 at Mall of Asia Arena to celebrate the 28th anniversary of her iconic album, Jagged Little Pill.
