NLEX’s new toll rates took effect last March 21, Thursday. The change is being applied to both the open system (Balintawak, Mindanao Avenue, Karuhatan, Valenzuela, Caloocan, to Meycauayan and Malolos, Bulacan) and end-to-end (Balintawak or Mindanao Avenue to Sta. Ines in Pampanga) rates. Rates for the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway will not be affected.
(Soon, we’ll have only one toll collection system in all expressways)
The open system rates will take the following changes:
- Class 1 (Cars, SUVs, jeepneys, and motorcycles): P54 from P45
- Class 2 (Buses and small trucks): P136 from P114
- Class 3 (Heavy trucks): P164 from P136
While the end-to-end rates will increase as such:
- Class 1: P257 from P236
- Class 2: P645 from P590
- Class 3: P774 to P708
