So, the Game of Thrones prequel series is definitely happening! Production has recently begun filming and new details about the new show have surfaced, including about how House Stark is going to be featured despite it being set about 5,000 years before the original series’ timeline. While it will be a while before we get to see the show on the small screen, photos have leaked from the filming giving us a sneak peek at what the show might look like.
Twitter user @GoTlikeLocation shared photos from the prequel which seemingly reveal House Stark’s old sigil of a direwolf against a white plane.
Only shortly before sunset the prop boat came out of the grotto again to go back to the production’s second base in the port of Gaeta. This time the boat’s crew was in costume and the banner (which might be an early Stark one?) revealed. #Bloodmoon #Gaeta pic.twitter.com/WYRFn3aJMT

George RR Martin himself revealed that the prequel will be going back to a time when there were still individual settlements in Westeros and as many as a hundred individual kingdoms. The new Game of Thrones series doesn’t have a set premiere date yet, but fans and TV critics alike are anticipating a 2021 release.
