Fil-Am Artist Jay Oliva to Work on Anime Series with ‘Justice League’ Director Zack Snyder

After lying low for roughly about two years, Man of Steel and Justice League director Zack Snyder is now set to co-create and executive produce a brand new anime series. According to a report by Variety, the series is going to have a Norse mythology setting.

Jay Oliva, a prominent Filipino-American storyboard artist who had worked with Snyder on multiple projects such as 300: Rise of an Empire, Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Justice League, co-created the series with the filmmaker. Oliva is going to serve as the series’ showrunner, director, and co-executive producer.

He’s also executive producing the Manila-set Trese animated series which we’re definitely excited for.

Snyder is currently writing, directing, and producing for the feature thriller Army of the Dead which, once released, will mark his directorial return since Justice League. It could be recalled that the filmmaker had to step away from Justice League due to a family tragedy. However, it seems like he’s excited to get back to work.
