Across EXO’s social media platforms, the group announced that they will be holding a two-day fan meeting titled “EXOverse.” The fan meeting will be held on December 13 and 14 at the Inspire Arena in Incheon, South Korea.
Moreover, it is confirmed that they will release their eighth full-length album in the first quarter of 2026.
However, only six members will be participating in the group’s comeback activities. This includes Suho, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun, along with Lay, whose return marks his much-awaited comeback after not participating in their last full-length album, “Exist,” in 2022.
Meanwhile, Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin—who are also part of the popular sub-unit EXO-CBX—will not be joining the group’s upcoming activities.
According to Yonhap News Agency, EXO-CBX won’t be present from the comeback activities due to an “ongoing contract dispute” with SM Entertainment.
The comeback announcement received mixed reactions from fans, who expressed frustration that the group won’t be fully complete despite all members finishing their military enlistment. The group’s enlistment began in 2019 with Xiumin entering first and lasted until 2024, when Sehun completed his service.
EXO is best known for their classic hits, including “Growl,” “Love Me Right,” “Call Me Baby,” “Kokobop,” and “Love Shot,” among others.
While solo members have frequented the country for their respective fan meetings and major concerts, the last time that they performed as a group in the Philippines was in 2019 for their fifth concert tour “EXplOration.”
