Donnalyn Bartolome shared a piece of advice with fellow women, reminding them to never waste their time settling for less.

In a lengthy post on Instagram, Donnalyn told fans and followers how her boyfriend, JM De Guzman, shared his plans for their future together. He even referred to her as his “wife.”

“On April 11, 2023, this man started calling me his wife hindi ko pa siya sinasagot. Posting my face on the internet [kahit] hindi pa kami. Binakuran ako sa lahat ng nanliligaw saakin making sure no one else stood a chance! ‘Maghihintay ako basta pakakasalan mo ako ah..’ while driving for me when we were just dating. Naghintay ng isang taon and after ko siya sagutin, introduced me as his ‘asawa ko’ to people and his family, certain that I will be,” she narrated.
The 31-year-old singer-songwriter then revealed that the actor is certain she will marry him and already has his plans laid out.
While she initially expressed her desire to keep their relationship private, she later realized that she understood his intentions and admired him for being the kind of man who thoughtfully plans for their future.
“Sabi ko, wag nalang namin gawing public, private relationship nalang AYAW NIYA. Kaya kahit I don’t normally publicize my relationship, I did. I followed his lead. Now I understand, ganun nga naman talaga dapat: intention, wag ilusyon. Don’t settle for less ladies. Never. Benefitting from your love tapos walang plano? That’s their role: to provide, to lead, to plan,” she said.
“Pag wala pang plano say LECHE! PLAN!” she quipped.
Finally, she talked about how choosing the father of your child is the “most important” decision one has to make in life, so never settle for less and choose someone who prioritizes you.
She also penned a sweet message to her boyfriend: “To my Juan Miguel, you’re auditioning for one of, if not, the most important role of your life: To be a Husband. God bless a faithful man. Thy will be done.”
The celebrity couple confirmed that they have been exclusively dating since May 2024.
Donnalyn Bartolome is a singer and vlogger who is known for her hit track “Kakaibabe.” In September 2025, she bagged the title of Best Content Creator at the Septimius Awards in Amsterdam.
Meanwhile, JM De Guzman is an actor who is best known for his acting performances in “That Thing Called Tadhana,” “The Iron Heart,” and “Linlang,” among others.
