After bringing us along on her dates for 12 years, Amelia Dimoldenberg is finally closing down “Chicken Shop Date.”

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Amelia shared that her hit YouTube interview series will come to an end after a 12-year run.

“When I was 17, I had a fantastic idea that I might meet the love of my life on a date in a chicken shop,” she wrote. “I’ve spent my entire twenties sitting across from the most incredible people, people I’d always dreamt of meeting. All of them charmed me (some more than others), and I definitely charmed them.”
The British comedian had interviewed acclaimed celebrities throughout the series’ run, including Paul McCartney, Sabrina Carpenter, Andrew Garfield, Jennifer Lawrence, and Cher, among others.
In a way, the series became her own form of “romantic comedy,” as she created countless stories for her supportive viewers.
Now, she’s finally ready to move on to a new chapter in her life, reminding us that all good dates must eventually come to an end.
“I never thought I’d stop Chicken Shop Date, I thought maybe it would be a part of me forever, and in some way it always will, but I feel like it’s now time to move on from this adventure and onto a new one,” she said.
But before the YouTube series closes down for good, fans and viewers can still look forward to a few final dates, which will be released “very soon.”
“Chicken Shop Date” is a popular YouTube series where Amelia Dimoldenberg interviews a wide range of celebrities, featuring her signature witty and deadpan humor that often leaves her interviewees stunned but also charmed by her.
