Disney Live! presents Three Classic Fairytales: A Show For the Young and Young-at-Heart
Being sentimental and family-oriented are two things that best describe Filipinos. We hold memories close to our hearts and our families even closer. We all have fond recollections of our childhood and many of us will recall the beloved Disney characters that helped shaped our hearts and minds growing up. Mickey Mouse, his gang, and the other Disney characters have truly touched the lives of several generations all over the world.
“I feel like a kid again!”,exclaimed my friend Zia as we entered the Mall of Asia Arena to watch Disney Live! Presents Three Classic Fairy Tales. I couldn’t help but agree. As we walked in, familiar music from Disney movies filled the air, transporting me back to my childhood where nothing else mattered but hugging my Mickey and Minnie Mouse stuffed toys and watching Disney princesses through VHS tapes all day.
Parents and their little children (mostly girls) walked excitedly around the place, with some even wearing costumes of Disney Princesses and Minnie Mouse headbands. I lost count of how many Snow Whites and Cinderellas I saw. We were also able to spot some celebrities among the crowd with their young ones.
One of the trends of the night: The Minnie Mouse Headband
Apparently, this little girl loves Disney Live! so much, this is her third time watching it.
A Mother with her little Snow White
Brought to us by the same people behind Disney on Ice, Disney Live! Presents Three Classic Fairy Tales is like a walk back through time as they transport us to the faraway lands and bygone eras of Disney princesses Snow White, Cinderella and Belle with Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Goofy and Donald Duck as the narrators.
Interactive in nature, the actors occasionally ask for the audience’s help at certain parts of the story and even at my age, I couldn’t help but scream NO!!! along with the kids when Snow White was about to take a bite from the poisoned apple just like some parents and grandparents joined in the singing of “Be Our Guest” during the Beauty and the Beast segment.
I also couldn’t help but notice how much attention they put into the details of each and every cast member’s costume and how superb the set and the special effects were. I really felt like I was with Snow White in the forest running away from her wicked stepmother and the creepy yellow eyes of hidden creatures in the dark.
More than just a show for kids, Disney Live! Presents Three Classic Fairytales is truly a must-see for families. It is an enchanting journey that will make the eyes of every parent and grandparent gleam with nostalgia of his or her childhood days. Get your tickets now as it will only be showing until September 14!
