The Korean drama ‘Descendants of the Sun’ was first aired on GMA 7 in 2016; the network has been the home of many asianovelas that Filipinos have come to love.
Though GMA 7 bought the rights to the drama back in 2016, Dingdong Dantes revealed that the Filipino remake is still in its early planning stage.
Dingdong will be playing Captain Lucas or Captain Yoo Si-jin a.k.a. Big Boss, which was originally played by Song Joong-Ki.
The announcement of Dingdong’s role in the remake was announced after his contract renewal with the Kapuso network.
