Iโve been seeing Culture Salon Manila pop up on my feed when Iโm browsing on Instagram, and therefore knew that itโs a salon frequented by celebrities, beauty queens, and influencers. So I was definitely excited when we got an invitation from them to visit. Well, that and the fact that I hadnโt gotten a haircut since 2020.

Culture Salon Manila is located on a nice prime spot in BGCโon 9th Ave., at W Global Center. Itโs right on the ground floor with its own door access, easily spotted from the road. I visited with my WIM teammate Therese, and upon entering, what welcomed us was this bright, cozy receiving area thatโs filled with plants. To the right was an esthetic white-brick wall with Culture Salon Manilaโs name on it, which we can imagine is perfect for post-cut or styling selfies. A quick digital registration was required through the front desk, and after that, we were sent to our styling chairs.

There we met Jim Ryan Ros, the Creative Director of Culture Salon Manila. Jim is known for his work with celebrities and beauty queens. In 2021, Culture Salon Manila was the official salon sponsor for Miss Universe Philippines. So you know youโre in very capable hands with Jim and the entire Culture Salon Manila team.
One look at my hair and Jim knew exactly what I needed (aside from a haircut, which was pretty obvious). I had been having problems with scalp flakes, which Jim said is caused by an imbalance of pH levels. To help fix that, he recommended their Pramasana by Aveda Scalp Treatment to restore the pH balance of my scalp. He also recommended the Botanical Repair Treatment which helps provide deep hydration to the hair and address dryness and frizziness.
The Pramasana by Aveda Scalp Treatment comprises a couple of steps that utilize Aveda products such as the Pramasana Purifying Scalp Cleanser, Pramasana Nourishing Scalp Masque, and Pramasana Protective Scalp Concentrate. The Purifying Scalp Cleanser I remember was very cool on the scalp. It had a very minty, refreshing smell and feel. Applying it was very relaxing. This scalp treatment is beneficial for everyone, Jim noted. Even if you donโt have scalp issues, you can get the Pramasana by Aveda Scalp Treatment to help you maintain your hair health and stimulate hair growth.
The scalp treatment was then followed by the Aveda Botanical Repair Treatment, to help nourish and restore hydration to my hair. And to cap it all off, a special hair iron called Frozen Iron was used to help seal in the treatments.
Therese, on the other hand, got gorgeous highlights. At the beginning of our session, Jim asked her to look for a photo online to help give him an idea of what she wanted. Thanks to Jim and the talented Culture Salon Manila team, not only did Therese get what she wanted, I think the result looked even better than her photo inspo. ๐
