The reopening of voter registration will officially begin on November 10, 2026, and run until July 30, 2027.

“Sa mga kababayan natin na gustong magparehistro dahil hindi sila rehistrado, magpa-revive ng registration, magpa-transfer ng kanilang registration, o kaya naman magpa-reactivate ng kanilang registration, o magpabago sa kahit anong datos doon, gawin ninyo po ‘yan mula November 10 at ito po ay tatagal hanggang sa next year, as much as possible July 30,” Comelec Chairman George Garcia said on October 28, 2026.

(“To our fellow citizens who want to register because they are not registered, revive their registration, transfer their registration, or reactivate their registration, or change any of their data therein, please do so from November 10, and it will last until next year, as much as possible July 30.”)

Garcia also urged the public to register as early as possible, saying, “Huwag ninyo na hintayin matatapos na naman.”

(“Do not wait for it to end again.”)

Voter registration will be open from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at any local Comelec office nationwide. Those who wish to register as voters can do so through satellite or mall registrations, through the Register Anywhere Program (RAP), and the Special Register Anywhere Program (SRAP).

Under Comelec’s guidelines, an individual can apply for voter registration if they are a citizen of the Philippines, aged at least 18 years old or above before election day, and are a resident of the Philippines for at least one year immediately preceding the election.

Additionally, an individual is also eligible to apply if they are a resident of the city or municipality where they will vote for at least six months immediately preceding the election.

Meanwhile, during the local poll body’s proposed 2027 budget hearing held in September 2026, Comelec said that they are expecting 74 million registered voters who will cast their votes in the May 2028 National and Local Elections and that they are projecting an additional three million voters.
