Attending a color run or festival is one of the many experiences millennials want to tick off their bucket list. Luckily, for us, we have The Color Manila Run.
A fun run and color festival at the same time, Color Manila Run is the first of its kind in the Philippines. This event gives non-athletes a chance to experience something they never thought of doing. Colored powder will be thrown at you from different stations, and runners receive a medal once they reach the finish line. A party takes place afterwards and the countdown of throwing colored powder altogether begins.
My first Color Manila Run experience happened three years ago at Bonifacio Global City. But Color Manila Run 2 surpassed my expectations; it was more than I remembered it to be. You get to exercise without feeling worn, plus it’s a chance to bond with family and friends. Have I mentioned that every moment is guaranteed Instagram-worthy?
This year, Color Manila Run happened last August 14th, despite the gloomy weather. Rain or shine, the runners chose to face the event in BGC head strong.
The rain stopped from time to time but it evidently did not agitate the runners. Heaps of praises for the organizers and attendees for making the most out of it!
Showered with colored powder and glitters, it is now safe to caption this as “shining, shimmering, splendid”!
Color Manila resident DJ Marxx and MC Ron Thug kicked off the party with a huge bang.
And in 3, 2, 1…
