The Tandang Sora intersection and flyover is originally scheduled to be closed on Saturday, February 23. However, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced today that this will be rescheduled on March 1 at 11 PM based on the request of the Quezon City government and give them more time to inform the public.
According to Quezon City Rep. Winnie Castelo, the additional seven days should be enough time to inform the public about it and to give preparation time to project contractors.
The closing of the Tandang Sora intersection and flyover will be done to allow the construction of the Metro Manila Rail Transit System (MRT) Line 7 to continue.
