Chinese Cuisine at Little Beijing: Binondo Food in the North
ย
When in Manila, we go to Binondo and Banawe to get a taste of authentic Chinese cuisine. Though these restaurants never disappoint us with the Chinese cuisine that they offer, driving all the way there can be quite inconvenient at times for those who live far.
Living in Valenzuela, with limited commercial establishments compared to other cities, I always miss the food near my high school in Binondo, so this new restaurant just alongย McArthur Highway really caught my attention. I felt like I just had to try it out.
Upon walking inside, I quickly noticed the super friendly security guard greeting everyone a good evening with a big smile. Despite the Mother’s Day dinner rush at the time, the staff was very accommodating. Great restaurant ambience, too!
It really felt like some classy Chinese restaurant usually found in Banawe, also with a lot of Chinese people dining there. Seems like we weren’t the only ones waiting for a restaurant like this to open.
Here is a quick snapshot of one of their menus to make you drool!:)ย
I was craving for the classic Kiampung, but sadly it wasn’t available at the time. The Yang Chow Fried Rice didn’t disappoint my taste buds, though. Huge serving and well seasoned.
The Sizzling Soy Tofu!! The best tofu I’ve had! It was seasoned with sliced chili that gave it the awesome spicy taste. Maybe it’s my love for spicy food, but this tofu will definitely be responsible for my next visit. Truly worth the try!
This is the Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet always on a Chinese resto menu. Tender and well-seasoned fish, with lots of carrots and onions, as well.
Now here is one of their bestsellers, Little Beijing’s Fried Chicken. Crunchy and tasty, also served with gravy that complimented it well. It could’ve used a bit of juiciness, but nonetheless, it was yummy. Cute flower carrots, too! ๐
There’s more. Since we came on Mother’s Day, the restaurant didn’t forget to extend a thoughtful gesture to my Mom. They gave out free Red velvet cupcakes to all of the mothers dining there – and the cupcakes were amazing! ๐
Overall, we had a great dining experience. Every district should have a restaurant like this. The service was also really, really awesome and I think that is the best part about Little Beijing compared to others. So, when looking for authentic Chinese cuisine with great service, Little Beijing is the place to go to!
