Officially called “C.A.L.M. Bar & Guinguette”, CALM stands for “comme à la maison”, which means “like at home” in French. That’s exactly what you will feel as soon as you enter the establishment.
With its laid-back interior, tropical decor, and outdoor seating, CALM Bar Bangkok is very easy on the eyes and the ideal location to socialize and have a nightcap with friends after a long day. It just opened in February 2022, so it’s still fresh on every Bangkokian’s radar.
What to Expect From CALM Bar Bangkok
Great Atmosphere
This pet-friendly bar in Bangkok has both indoor and al fresco seating. Inside the bar, there are tables near the DJ booth, so you can enjoy good tunes as you dine and drink. Outside, it’s more tropical with all of the wooden furnishings. It’s ideal for large groups and those who want to enjoy the city breeze.
Additionally, they host events quite often, making the place lively and buzzing with good vibes. Whatever your preference, you will enjoy your time at CALM Bar Bangkok. Each visit will never be boring.
Delicious Food and Drinks
Start with their Happy Hour promotion, which is so worth it! For only 400 baht, you can get two pints of craft beer with a side of house fries. Craft beers in Thailand are always on the upper side of the price scale, so getting two pints for that price is real value for money.
Enjoy small bites while you drink, too. Their Chicken Finger (THB 150), Crab Tapas (THB 180), and Cheese Platter (THB 500) are great. They are satisfying to the tastebuds and really quite filling.
If you stay longer, you can also eat dinner here and enjoy some of their wines or cocktails (starting at THB 220). It may come as a surprise to you that their Hanger Steak is only THB 590. Steaks are usually expensive in Bangkok, so this is a rare find.
CALM Bar Bangkok specializes in grilled food, so they offer steaks here well despite the reasonable price. They don’t skimp on quality here!
For the cocktails, order one of their specialties, Pina Colada (THB 220). It’s refreshingly good, and you won’t be able to resist getting one more round.
All of these offers make the bar an awesome all-day destination for those looking for casual fun in the city.
Amazing Service
Even if they are the new kids on the block, owners Leo Sebag and Louis Calderon are no strangers to the hospitality world. Thus, you can expect warm welcomes at their bar. They are very hands-on and will make sure you feel right at home. Comme à la maison, right?
Their team is very responsive and friendly, too. They will greet you with a smile as they take your orders. This is very important in establishing a lasting impression among the customers.
