According to Korean news website Soompi, a source from the band’s agency, Big Hit Entertainment, confirmed that the band will be flying out of the country today, September 16, for a “scheduled activity”. This comes a month after they announced their hiatus—the band’s first long-term break since debuting.

As stated by Big Hit at the time of the announcement on August 11, “this period of rest will be an opportunity for the members of BTS, who have driven themselves towards their goal since their debut, to recharge and prepare to present themselves anew as musicians and creators. This will also provide them with a chance to enjoy the ordinary lives of young people in their 20s, albeit briefly.”
