Boxpark MNL: The Newest QC Food Park to Satisfy Your Cravings

Churros as good as La Lola’s? Big servings of tasty ribs and tender steak at an affordable price? Pies so good you’ll be a pie lover after? Chicken that tastes even better than Max’s? Fries that were torched to melted perfection?

I could go on and on and on and on….yes, it never will stop – that is, the list of awesome goodness as far as your taste buds are concerned. Thanks to a friend ( Sir Rd Llarena, that’s you!) for referring this newest and coolest (I am claiming it!) food park in Quezon City. I actually would like to claim and am claiming that after visiting Boxpark MNL along Congressional Avenue Ext. I can say that Quezon City is one of the best food hubs in the country. Give it a try and you’ll definitely agree with me. Start with Boxpark MNL of course. *wink*

So let’s get to know the what, the when and the where. Boxpark MNL is a new food park located along Congressional Avenue Ext in Quezon City. They just opened in October, but a lot of people are already checking in everyday. It is very easy to find with its huge signboard placed at the park’s entrance and you’ll get to view it if you will be coming from Luzon Avenue. They are open from 3pm until 12 midnight, 7 days a week, making it the perfect place to chill and unwind after a hard day’s work.

Inside Boxpark MNL are container stalls lined up side by side with chairs and tables in the middle. Every food stall caters to a certain cuisine which means: more options. The more options you have, the more exciting your food venture will be.

The ambiance of the place is perfect for families and young professionals, both young and old alike. Now that we know how it looks like and what’s in it, let’s get to my favorite part: the FOOD.

BoxYard 101 is a restobar owned by siblings Ralph and Bianca Valle who also monitor the entire place. Some of their must-tries include their Monster Monkey Burger, Baby Back Ribs and T-Bone Steak. These 3 were all love at first bite for me – and at such affordable prices, too. Don’t miss out on these when you are craving for meat dishes.

For some Thai cuisine, Ralph and Bianca’s parents own Thai, the house specialties of which are Pad Thai and Thai Fried Rice. Being a pasta lover, their Pad Thai is a definite must-try with its mild Thai flavors. And being a rice eater, too, I couldn’t say “no” to their fried rice, either.

Next is The Fry Guys. They offer French fries, but not your regular French fries. They have gourmet fries made and served by using a blue torch to melt the cheese topped on the fries just like on a pizza. It’s amazing to watch the cheese sizzle in front of you, but wait until you’ve tasted it! You’re just say, “This is to die for.” No, I am not exaggerating, nor was I that hungry when I tried this. Their gourmet fries really are just that good!
