When people think of Wagyu, they always think of steak. However, there are many other Wagyu dishes that are as tasty as your favorite high-end steaks. Bokaps, for example, offers value for money for various Wagyu dishes.
Further down East Kapitol Drive and just beside CrossfitMNL is Bokaps, your friendly neighborhood Wagyu place, where you can get tasty treats to satisfy your hunger.
Their flagship product is, of course, Wagyu. One of my favourites? The Wagyu-silog.
The Wagyu cubes are fried and served with garlic rice, a sunny side up egg and their special sauce. This is perfect for people who love breakfast food. The Wagyu cubes are soย tender and tasty, you mightย want to order additional Wagyu skewers and even extra rice.
If you like anything spicy, the Wagyu Kimchi Rice is definitely a must-try. It is made with the same Wagyu cubes, but the rice comes with a serving of Kimchiย (made in-store). I actually donโt know how to eat them properly, but you can always mix everythingย up before savoring the tasty goodness of this Korean food with a twist.
If you like Pinoy food, then the Wagyu Sisig is a good option. You can enjoy it with rice or as pulutan with beer. I know we all love greasy food, but this Wagyu version of sisig isn’t very greasy yetย is equally tasty.
If you want to ease up on the Wagyu, you can get their delicious Kare-Kare. The beef used isn’t Wagyu, but you are guaranteed some fresh and tender beef all the same. I am not a fan of kare-kare, but this is one of the dishes I will be coming back for at Bokaps. Unlike otherย kare-kare dishes in different restaurants, this one is sweet and the sauce is perfect withย rice.
With the owners of Bokaps Nandz Muniz and Katrina Muniz
Kapitolyo is the home of many amazing restaurants and Bokaps isย definitely a must-try in the area.
