“Truth or lie: nag-aaway kayo ni Alden?” Boy Abunda asked Bea Alonzo on the July 13th episode of his talk show “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” on GMA.
“Uhm, truth? But actually, lie! Kasi hindi kami nag-away. Nagkaroon kami ng samaan ng loob but hindi kami nag-away,” Bea answered. “At naayos?” the host followed up, to which she confirmed, “Yes!”
To discuss it further, Abunda inquired, “This has not been talked about, but was it a professional problem?”
“It kinda was. I guess it’s also because we have different backgrounds,” Bea said without going into detail. To clarify, Abunda interrupted her and said, “‘Backgrounds’…in terms of being an artist?” “I guess so,” she responded while nodding her head.
“Also, I think nagkaroon lang ng mga misunderstandings while on set, but we were able to talk about it. I remember we were on a plane going to Davao, while we were promoting Start-Up, pinag-usapan namin ng, like, mature people, and we were able to sort things out,” Bea continued.
“Nung napag-usapan naming dalawa yun, tinawanan lang namin siya at the end of the day,” Alden, on the other hand, told Philippine Entertainment Portal. “And yun nga, ngayon we agreed to do ‘Battle of the Judges’ together right after ‘Start-Up’.”
He continued, “So, hindi rin po talaga namin gets kung bakit ang laki-laki niya outside.”

“Siguro nagkulang din ng pagpapaliwanag on our end. Kasi nga busy po kami sa mga projects namin,” he added.
Bea Alonzo and Alden Richards previously worked together as the lead stars of the Philippine adaptation of the Korean drama series “Start-Up”. They were supposedly starring side-by-side in another Philippine adaptation–this time, of the Korean drama film “A Moment to Remember”–before Alonzo begged off from the project due to schedule conflicts.
Currently, the two are on the brand new reality show “Battle of the Judges” together with Jose Manalo, Boy Abunda, and GMA Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes.
