“Bakit napakapribado mo pagdating sa pag-ibig?” – Boy Abunda asked Alden Richards on his talk show “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” on GMA. The Asia’s Multimedia Star was put on the hot seat as the guest of yesterday’s episode (July 14).

To this, Richards answered: “Parang ‘yon na lang ang pwede kong i-protect, Tito Boy. I think that’s the only thing na I can save kasi kinakalkal po every day e, but mababait naman po ‘yong mga press people natin, napapakiusapan naman po sila at one point.”
“Kumbaga, ‘wag niyo na pong tanungin. Boring po ang love life ko. Doon na lang po tayo sa ibang bagay… may movie oh, Five Breakups tsaka Mother’s and Son’s! BOTJ po, malapit na,” he quipped. The actor was referring to his upcoming films “Five Break-Ups and a Romance” with Julia Montes and “A Mother and Son’s Story” with Sharon Cuneta, as well as his brand new reality TV show “Battle of the Judges” featuring Bea Alonzo, Boy Abunda, Jose Manalo, and GMA Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes.

To follow up on the previous question, Abunda noted, “Pero Richard, it must be difficult to explain this to a girl, kasi paano mo ipapaliwanag sa mahal mo na ‘nakatago ka because of who I am’? How do you actually say that?” Alden, whose real name is Richard Reyes Faulkerson, Jr., replied, “Straight to the point, Tito Boy.”
“[So] kung naiintindihan ka, tuloy; [pero] ‘pag hindi ka naiintindihan, will your career always be more important?” Abunda insisted. Alden paused before admitting, “That’s a very difficult question to answer, Tito Boy.”

He continued, “But I always put it in this perspective po na sometimes, if I am put in that kind of situation, maybe it’s not yet the right time for this. So I wouldn’t say that my career is always ‘right’, but maybe it’s not yet the right time for love.”

Moving on, the Philippines’ King of Talk went to ask if Alden is currently looking for love. “Dumating po kasi ako sa stage, Tito Boy, na naghahanap e, and I think during those times na naghahanap ka, dun madalas na hindi,” he first explained. “So ngayon, try natin na ‘wag, baka may dumating.”
