Luis Manzano underwent a biopsy after discovering a lump on his head. On his vlog dated May 4, the TV host and actor talked about his recent health scare, revealing he consulted a specialist and underwent several tests to determine if the lump was cancerous or benign.
“May kailangan i-biopsy dito sa taas ng ulo ko. Parang ang biopsy kung hindi ako nagkakamali ay i-checheck kung cancerous or not or kung malignant or benign,” he said.

He shared that he thought the lump was a mole since it had been on his head since childhood. However, his hairstylist noticed that it had gone bigger, which urged him to have it checked by a dermatologist as he suspected it might be skin cancer called melanoma.
“Alam naman niya na may nunal ako dito. Noong nakapa niya, sabi niya, ‘Kuya, parang lumaki yung nunal mo dyan?”‘ he naratted.
Luis said he consulted four doctors who all assured him that the lump was “okay,” but he was still advised to undergo a biopsy to ensure it was not cancerous.
“Do I feel okay? Yes. Apat na doktor na nagsabi na malabo-labo talaga that it’s cancerous. May konting kaba? Syempre, kasi ii-stitch yun eh,” he expressed. “But para sa akin ang main goal ko is to create awareness kasi napakarami syempre na binabantayan na nunal, growth, kita yan sa mga katawan.”

The TV host emphasized that the most difficult part of the biopsy was waiting for the results, which took around five to seven days. After one week, he revealed that the result was good and that he had undergone blood tests.
“Sabi niya [doctor], so far, it looks okay pero may kailangan lang idagdag na blood test para makasiguro talaga na hindi problema ito,” he noted.
The 43-year-old was then finally relieved to share he was clear of cancer and that the lump was benign. He even showed off his new haircut as a form of small celebration after overcoming his health scare.
“Nakuha ko na yung results at sinabi ngang benign, clear. Nag-mini celebration ako, nagpaikli ako ng buhok,” he reiterated.
Luis has been married to Jessy Mendiola since 2021. They welcomed their firstborn, Isabella Rose, in December 2022 and tied the knot again this February.
