Aspiring game developers, artists, designers, musicians, writers, and creatives are invited to put their skills to the test as Game Jam Los Baños 2026 opens registration for its week-long online game development competition, taking place from July 10 to 16, 2026.
Open to participants of all backgrounds and experience levels from the Philippines and around the world, the event challenges individuals and teams to conceptualize, design, and develop a playable video game within seven days.
Organized by the UPLB Computer Science Society (UPLB COSS) and the UPLB Game Development Society (UPLB GDS), Game Jam Los Baños 2026 aims to foster creativity, strengthen collaboration, and cultivate a growing community of game developers through a supportive and engaging environment.
The event begins with opening activities before participants officially dive into the Game Jam proper, where a surprise theme will be revealed to inspire the games they create. Throughout the development period, organizers and mentors will be available to guide participants as they transform their ideas into finished projects.
Participants may compete individually or in teams of up to eight members. Completed games will be evaluated based on gameplay, creativity, adherence to the theme, design, art and audio, and overall execution.
Winning teams will receive cash prizes, software licenses, and special awards recognizing outstanding achievements in areas such as art, narrative, and world-building.
Beyond the competition, Game Jam Los Baños 2026 encourages participants to learn from one another, experiment with new ideas, and build lasting connections within the game development community. Whether you’re creating your very first game or adding another project to your portfolio, the event offers an opportunity to challenge yourself, collaborate with fellow creatives, and showcase your work to a wider audience.
Registration fees are ₱80. As the event will be conducted entirely online, participants can join from anywhere with an internet connection.
