Another young Filipino is showcasing his talent on the global stage!

Filipino-Taiwanese child actor Jordan Roberto Chien is capturing everyone’s attention after his impressive portrayal of Young Prince Zuko in Season 2 of Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender.
In a cast interview, Dallas Liu, who portrays Prince Zuko, said Jordan nailed the role of young Zuko.
“I think Jordan definitely understood the assignment with Zuko because he was just like that in real life,” Dallas said. “He was such a kind kid.”
Meanwhile, Elizabeth Yu, the actress who plays Azula, shared how the connection between their characters positively influenced their performance: “We’re watching it from older Zuko and Azula’s perspective. So getting to finally see in real life that connection between these characters that we’re playing and their mom, and getting to hold onto that.”
In case you didn’t know, Jordan is the son of international recording artist Josephine Roberto, who also started her career as a child performer in the Philippines.
Now, she’s proudly supporting her son as he continues to make a name for himself in Hollywood.

“This experience for Jordan, my whole family and me as a mom is something we will forever cherish! To be a part of the Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise was never in our wildest dreams. Seeing Jordan on TV playing Young Zuko felt so incredible it gave us all goosies!” she wrote in an Instagram post.
“Such a proud moment for me. Watching him as his mom from the sidelines, allowing him to be in his element is so satisfying because I know starting out at a young age is not easy…but when you love what you do, it becomes your playground!” she added.
Aside from his role in “Avatar,” the young actor began his career at just five years old, making his acting debut as Addison in the short film “Adam’s Song.” Since then, he has appeared in campaigns for several well-known brands and has also voiced young characters in Korean dramas.
