In case you missed it, there is now a “Bakit Papa” 2023 version!

The novelty hit has been updated and given a modern R&B vibe by the rising P-pop girl group, YARA. Co-produced by record producer Thyro Alfaro, they dropped their rendition of “Bakit Papa” on Friday (September 22) along with a Y2K karaoke-style lyric visualizer.
Comprised of Gelou, Rocher, Christa, and Kim, YARA made a few tweaks to the song–its beat, tempo, and lyrics. According to them, this revived track now “has a sensual feel, matched with sultry choreography.” Check it out below!
“Bakit Papa” is among YARA’s winning pieces on the TV5 talent contest “PoPinoy” in 2021. After claiming the title, they officially debuted in March 2023 with the single “ADDA.”

Originally composed by Lito Camo, the Sexbomb Girls dropped “Bakit Papa” in 2002 as part of their first studio album, “Unang Putok.” Other songs in it are “Crush Kita,” “Pretty Little Baby,” “Di Ko Na Mapipigilan,” and “Tulog Na Baby.”
