On October 31, the Department of Tourism (DOT) announced that Tourism ambassadors BINI were tapped to sing “Sama-Sama Tayo,” accompanied by a music video featuring the girls themselves.
The song was said to pay homage to the country as it hosted the 48th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Cebu last May 2026.
“They [BINI] bring the energy, creativity, and aspirations of today’s Filipino youth,” Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay said in a statement.
“As we host ASEAN, we hope to harness BINI’s influence to bring the message of the Philippine Chairship beyond the leaders’ table and into the hearts of a wider community of people connected by a shared purpose,” she added.
This song follows SB19’s “Together in Motion,” which is hailed as the official song of the 49th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits. Both P-pop groups are official Philippine tourism ambassadors.
The 49th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits will take place from November 16 to 18 at the PICC in Pasay City.
BINI is an eight-member girl group with Aiah, Maloi, Mikha, Jhoanna, Colet, Sheena, Gwen, and Stacey. In April 2026, they made history as the first P-pop group to perform at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival.
