The SexBomb Girls Are Back, Thanks to Netflix

Who could forget the SexBomb Girls? Millennials will be happy to know that the OG Pinoy dance-pop group that shaped them to always make “laban” is back! Despite briefly, the one-minute ad by Netflix tickled the hearts of 90s kids.

Yesterday, the giant streaming platform posted a teaser on its socials sparking speculations. “O, ano mga darling? Ready na ba kayo? [bomb emoji] Abangan bukas,” it wrote.

To this, fans expressed their excitement. “Kayo yung dahilan bat ako lumalaban sa buhay,” one wrote. Meanwhile, a netizen guessed, “Wow, ilalagay ba ang Daisy Siete sa Netflix? Lol.” “Complete season dapat,” another one suggested. Someone even joked, “Blackpink is shaking.”

Today, they dropped the bomb: a lower Netflix subscription rate for 2023! And there’s no better way to announce the news than to the tune of the Spaghetti Song (feat. Joey De Leon) sung and danced by the SexBomb girls themselves!

Rochelle Pangilinan, Jopay Paguia, Che-che Tolentino, Mia Pangyarihan, Sunshine Garcia, and Johlan Veluz even dressed up in Y2K fashion complete with 90s-inspired visuals prompting nostalgia overload! In some clips, the members also performed their signature dance moves as popular Netflix characters!

Netflix captioned the video, “Laban lang, walang bawi! May pasabog ang Sexbomb Girls: Ang Netflix niyo, P249/month na lang for all devices na! Get nawww!” Watch it below:
