Actress Andrea Brillantes got candid about her type in men, admitting that while she likes handsome guys, she also values someone with depth, ambition, and emotional maturity.

During her guest appearance on veteran talk show host Boy Abunda’s Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, which aired on October 30, 2026, Andrea was asked whether she likes handsome men, to which she readily agreed.
“Of course! Of course, mahilig po ako sa gwapo. Sino ba namang hindi mahilig sa gwapo? Pero hindi naman iyon ang unang-una kong tinitingnan talaga, hindi po—pagkatao po talaga ang una kong tinitingnan ngayon,” the 23-year-old actress admitted.
For Andrea, a handsome face alone isn’t enough. She emphasized that she also looks for someone with substance, a strong work ethic, and clear ambitions in life.
“Ang kailangan ko po is ‘yung lalim, and ‘yung sipag, and ‘yung meron kang direction na gustong puntahan,” the former child star shared.
“’Yung yaman, it doesn’t really matter to me kasi mayaman naman na ako,” Andrea added. “Hindi naman ako nagde-date para lang yumaman kasi I can provide everything that I need. What I want—what I need from you is to be a man with direction and drive.”

The actress, who rose to prominence through the hit afternoon series Kadenang Ginto, also shared that aside from physical attraction, she wants a partner who is not only loyal but also faithful.
“Para sa akin po kasi, loyalty is… I can look at other girls, pero my heart belongs to you. But faithfulness for me is, ‘I won’t even look at other girls—everything, ito ikaw lang ang laman,’ parang ganoon po ang faithfulness para sa akin,” Andrea explained.

“Basta lalaking hindi magsisinungaling sa akin, feeling ko naka-jackpot na po ako doon. Lalaking hindi magsisinungaling sa akin at hindi titingin sa ibang babae,” she continued.
Apart from revealing her ideal type, Andrea also shared her stance on situationships, a relationship setup often associated with modern dating culture.
“Hindi po talaga. Kasi po, ang complicated. Ang dami kong ginagawa sa life ko, ang dami kong priorities. I don’t have time for that kind of situationship. And ano ako eh, I’m the type of person that knows—I know what I want, and I’m clear with what I want,” the actress said.
