The first-ever all-Filipino boy band Hori7on just made their debut under MLD Entertainment in South Korea! On July 24, the seven-member group composed of Vinci, Kim, Kyler, Reyster, Winston, Jeromy, and Marcus held a showcase at the Olympic Hall in Seoul to celebrate their newly-released first full-length album Friend-SHIP.

The album, described as the group’s “first sail” by MLD Entertainment, consists of 21 tracks with lead single SIX7EEN, which they performed at the showcase. It also includes three pre-release tracks: Dash, Salamat, and Lovey Dovey. Their labelmates, Haeun of K-pop girl group Lapillus and Leo and Noa of boy group TFN, were featured on the album.

In less than 24 hours, SIX7EEN‘s music video, which was released on the same day of the showcase, garnered 1.8 million views. During the showcase, Hori7on also announced their official fandom name, Anchor. The hashtags #HORI7ON_FRIENDSHIP and #호라이즌 (horizon) trended in the Philippines as fans and netizens expressed their support for the group.
On July 27, they performed their debut song SIX7EEN on the Korean music show M Countdown to kick off their promotions in South Korea. As of writing, the hashtag #HORI7ONonMCountdown is number one on the Philippines trends.
In February 2023, Hori7on was formed through the survival reality show Dream Maker. They are co-managed by ABS CBN along with MLD Entertainment. Similar to other K-pop idols, the septet also underwent 100 days of training in preparation for their debut.
