When In Manila, Adventure Time is one of the hit shows for the kids and also for the kids at heart!
Last April 20, fans of Adventure Time gathered at the SM Mall of Asia for Cartoon Network’s “Where in the Ooo Are You?” event for its new season kick-off and the regional debut of the highly exclusive Adventure Time merchandise in the Philippines. I myself am a big fan of Adventure Time so I made sure that I’ll make it to the event!
The event started at 11AM and boy, got there at 11:30 and the place was packed already! Everyone was too excited to get their hands on the merch! And shucks, by the time we got in, there were only few pieces left of the shirts being sold! Crazy, right?
The exclusive Adventure Time products that they introduced featured apparel for teens, notebooks, home video, flip flops for children, bath towels and handkerchiefs. These must-have items are available in the leading department stores across the country. They are easily sold-out so better go and hunt for em asap! I’m still on the lookout for the shirts that I want! They sell like hotcakes!
Kids, teenagers and even adults joined the fun! I was really surprised by the amount of people who came. I never thought Adventure Time has this big of a fanbase in the Philippines! Way back when I first started watching the show, I barely knew anyone who watches the show. But now, it’s mathematical! 😉
The event had Land of Ooo-themed games, challenges, food booths and some kids even got lucky and took home some awesome Adventure Time prizes! And it was fun to see kids dressed up as characters from the show!
The highlight of the event was the appearance of Adventure Time’s very own Jake and Finn! Everyone got so excited and all lined up for a chance to get their photos with them! And of course, we wouldn’t pass up the chance as well!

Couldn’t help it! My inner fangirl was pretty obvious! I was giddy like a 5-year old!
We also got the chance to meet the Regional Marketing Manager of Turner Broadcasting and we talked about Adventure Time and again, I fangirled like there’s no tomorrow! It was such a great experience to meet Mr. Ben Adams. He is also a fan of the show so I think he understood my perky enthusiasm! Haha!
The new season of Adventure Time (Season 5) premieres at Cartoon Network every Monday at 5:30 PM. The latest season features the voices of celebrities including Neil Patrick Harris (yes! the NPH himself!) and Donald Glover of Community in the episode titled “Bad Little Boy“.
