As a city girl who likes to travel, I am exposed to different elements such as pollution and sunlight. Since the skin is the largest organ of our body, it is said that we have to take care of it with extreme caution. Whatever we slather on our skin gets absorbed by our body. Thus, it is interesting to see what Aegle Aeshetics has to offer. There were five products and services that I found very apt for a young professional who likes to travel and bask in the sun such as me.

Thalassotherapy
This specific therapy believes in harnessing the healing power of the sea. From the Greek word for “sea,” Aegle developed thalasso procedures grounded in evidence-based medicine for specific clinical purposes.
Because thalassotherapy uses seawater, the service is available at Aegle Wellness Center at Balesin Island Club. Herbal soaks, however, are offered at the Aegle Wellness Center at The City Club. According to them, “an herbal soak is an aromatic bath that blends organic herbs to increase the body’s level of magnesium and sulfates to the bloodstream through the skin. A relaxing way of helping the body unwind, providing a sense of overall well-being.”
These are provided by its six thalassotherapy pools: SOOTHE, DETOX, RELAX, HEAL, ENERGIZE, and SUPPORT. This is in addition to the more dynamic pools for seawater massage and thermal therapy, as well as seaweed detoxification wraps and ocean-bottom mud therapy.
HyperBaric Oxygen Therapy
Cells need oxygen for their daily processes of producing energy, converting food into usable nutrients and substances, and most importantly, repair and regeneration.
As the body wears down with age, other parts of it need more oxygen than usual. Exposing the body to high concentration and high pressure oxygen in periodic instances helps ensure it gets what it needs.
Aside from the two above-mentioned awesome services, Aegle Aesthetics also has a skincare line that really caught my attention. It is called the GoldFaden MD, the first dermatologist-developed, “naturally inspired skincare brand.” The brand was founded by and named after Dr. Gary Goldfaden who has a love and passion for skincare, wellness, and a healthy lifestyle. He develops innovative and technologically advanced skincare solutions that provide results, well-tolerated even by those with sensitive skin.

Needle Less: Line Smoothing Concentrate (Php 5,980)
This product is referred to as “botox in a jar.” If you are scared to go under the needle, this product would help you ease the fine lines that are starting to show. It is a lightweight cream which can result to an almost instant tightening around the applied area.
Light Treatment: Dark Spot Corrector (Php 4,160)
As earlier mentioned, I am almost always under the sun. Thus, I am at a higher risk of hyper-pigmentation. Although there are other available moisturizers you can choose from, I can imagine this would suit my skin better. How? It has an advanced formula (alpha arbutin, seaweed and red tea extracts) that visibly improves environmentally damaged skin for a radiant complexion.
Sun Visor: Ultra Light Oil-Free SPF 30 Mist (Php 2,340)
This is my favorite product from the Goldfaden MD line. I rarely put anything on my skin, but SPF is always a must. What’s nice about the SUN VISOR? Meaning, you can spray it on before and after your make up anytime of the day, and your make up will not smear off. PLUS!
