BTS to Take Their First Long-Term Break Since Debuting

K-pop superstar group BTS is reportedly going to take a long break from the music scene, according to an announcement made by their managers Big Hit Entertainment on Twitter.

This is the first time the seven members will take time off since their debut in 2013.

BTS then and now

As stated by Big Hit, “this period of rest will be an opportunity for the members of BTS, who have driven themselves towards their goal since their debut, to recharge and prepare to present themselves anew as musicians and creators. This will also provide them with a chance to enjoy the ordinary lives of young people in their 20s, albeit briefly.”

It is unclear how long their break will last, but they are scheduled to perform in Saudi Arabia in October as part of their “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” world tour.

On Twitter, fans have been outpouring their support for the band and expressing their willingness to wait for their eventual return.
