Let’s establish one thing: waffles are NOT pancakes. And if any of your friends insist otherwise, then you don’t need that kind of negativity in your life. Not many understand the art that goes behind creating waffles that are perfectly golden, crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. And while it can be difficult to look for places that serve these grid-ridden pieces of heaven, it’s not impossible. Here are nine places to get waffles in Manila, just the way you like them.
Single Origin prides itself on being a neighborhood café, with artisanal coffee and some comfort food favorites that seem well thought of. Try their blueberry and cream cheese waffles, with sweet blueberries and rich cream cheese on a bed of golden waffles.

Cow & Chicken
A modern brunch place serving up Western and Filipino brunch fare with a twist, it’s clear that waffles are what creates this restaurant’s charm in Kapitolyo. The place can be a little tricky to find but finding it is well worth it. Their waffles have the perfect crisp-light balance, with a light buttery taste that goes well with either savory or sweet combinations. Try their signature dessert, Waffle S’mores, or the Valentine-famous Mangoes and Malagos Chocolate on Waffles. You can also get your waffles plain, but be sure to ask for their homemade lemon curd on the side.

If you are going to drop by Yardstick at all without trying their splendid coffee, then at least stay for their waffles. Thick, generous and crispy, their waffles come in different selections. Eat Fresh Hong Kong Famous Street Food
Eat Fresh may keep up a nondescript appearance, but not all great food are found in fancy establishments. Found in the Chinoy enclaves of Banawe and Wilson, Eat Fresh replicates the street food haunts one can find in Hong Kong, and their egg waffle is no exception. It’s fluffy, buttery, and airy, and a good reminder of the streetside dessert in Hong Kong and Macau.
