Bf Homes Paranaque, home of the south’s foodie heaven Aguirre Avenue has been producing new meat (literally) on each and every corner. It’s really difficult to compete in Bf Homes. With every cuisine and every technique and every gimmick, they try to survive the cut throat competition in the area. Usually, if you don’t have what it takes, it’s only a matter of a few months to a year and you’re *poof* and it all boils down to the customers, which are each and everyone of you foodies, who will judge them and score them and come back wanting more.
New kids wants to play the food wars of Aguirre and we tested them out to see if they can make the cut. Here are the 5 New Restaurants in BF Homes, Paranaque you definitely shouldn’t miss.
5. Cue & Brew
Located along Aguirre Avenue (In front of Imbiss & Songkran) it’s this humble restaurant that gives quality southern and comfort food for those who’s been craving for some barbeque cooked low & slow or a good slather of truffle oil on their Mac & Cheese.Â
Their Truffle Mac & Cheese is a good amount of serving and it’s something that I would come and order again and again.
They have various drinks and they have my favorite local beer: Bew Kettle. Good to wash down your meat with.
Like their Mac & Cheese, their serving of brisket and pulled pork is huge as well. Their brisket and pulled pork are cooked low and slow for 12 hours. I liked how the smokey-ness of the brisket is not too overpowering. I’ve tried smoked brisket before which were too strong for me and it overpowered the dish. And since brisket tends to be dry as well, they smothered it with homemade barbeque sauce served with coleslaw and rice (you can choose to change your sides)
If you’re not that hungry, you can order their pulled pork sliders which are again, a lot! They serve it in 3 sliders of pork, coleslaw and barbeque sauce. We liked the side of twister fries with a sprinkle of parmesan.

4. Kapeng Mainit
Located along Tropical Ave. (Next to Okiiniri Trop Ave, near Southville) you can find this homey little place called “Kapeng Mainit” they are very proud of their local coffee which was a smooth medium roasted blend which is available for an affordable price! Or when you order a meal, you will get a cup of coffee for free. Good deal!
They serve modern filipino dishes with a twist. They have a variety of meals like the Filipino classic Tapsilog served with either Kimchi Rice or Sinigang Rice (must try!!!) and a poached egg on top. Also try their Spamusubi with sinigang rice (Yes, raving about their sinigang rice as I don’t like sinigang but I’ve been craving for theirs!)
You can choose 3 cookie flavors which will be topped off with their vanilla ice cream. We got green tea, double choco chunk and chocolate chip. They bake it and made fresh once you order so order them in advance for your dessert. I love how it has a half-baked consistency which was gooey and delicious! A must try. Â
Beignets (Bae-naes) which are French doughnuts. Have them in green tea or chocolate along with your hot coffee.
