Trigger Warning: Mentions of death and drugs
Three people have been charged in connection with the death of Liam Payne, according to Argentinian authorities.
Authorities stated that those charged in Liam’s death include a suspected drug dealer, a hotel employee who may have provided him with cocaine, and a person who was close to him.
The accused were involved in giving the former One Direction star cocaine at least twice during his stay. Meanwhile, the alleged drug dealer is believed to have provided the drug twice more, two days before he passed away.
Additionally, authorities reported that the person who was visiting Payne is charged with “abandonment of a person followed by death.”
The One Direction singer, who was only 31 years old, died on October 16 after falling from the third floor of his hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
His autopsy report revealed that he sustained multiple internal and external injuries, which contributed to his cause of death.
Moreover, the autopsy report showed that there were traces of alcohol, cocaine, and a prescription antidepressant in his system at the time of his death.
As the investigation surrounding Liam’s death continues, prosecutors said that they are trying to unlock the late singer’s broken laptop.
However, witnesses told the media that they saw the late singer smashing his laptop in the hotel lobby.
The singer’s unexpected death shocked fans worldwide. In early October, he and his girlfriend Kate Cassidy went to watch co-One Direction member Niall Horan’s concert in Argentina.
