7. Declutter

Why not cure boredom and be productive at the same time? Decluttering is also therapeutic because letting go of things that you don’t really need is quite liberating.

6. Call a friend

Catching up and reconnecting with a friend will easily kick boredom away. Plus, it’s always fun to do things with good company. Just stay away from Debbie Downers because positive reinforcement is best at the moment.

5. Sweat it out

Hello, endorphins! Getting your body up and running doesn’t only give you a healthier lifestyle, it gives you something to do in your spare time.

4. Spend some time in the kitchen

Cook or bake; just don’t eat everything. Emotional eating is never healthy so just express your love for food by getting creative in the kitchen. Bake that boredom away or cook for others.

3. Start a creative project

Build a terrarium, paint your room, get a sketchpad and drawing. So many different options to get creative. Once you get going…what boredom?IMG_1627

2. Do something new

New experiences give you a little kick of adrenaline. It doesn’t have to be anything out of this world like jumping off a plane. You can make the mundane more interesting by trying new things like exploring an area of your city that you’ve never set foot on, testing out a new restaurant or an exotic cuisine, or trying out a hobby. So many things.

1. Spend some alone time in nature

My number one quick fix. Go to a park and get lost in the greenery and the birds’ songs. I definitely am guilty of taking this for granted, but giving yourself a few minutes away from the hustle and bustle to breathe and be quiet really does work wonders.
