Check out the upcoming seasons of 10 awesome television series that we’ve grown to love:
Can’t wait for Season 28?
You don’t have to wait too long. A new batch of castaways are going to duke it out for a million dollars and the ultimate bragging right in the islands of Cagayan–yes, they’re still playing here in our beautiful country.
This time, the hit reality television series is doing something different. They’re trying to find out the answer to one of life’s biggest questions:
What is most important in getting further in life: beauty, brains, or strength?
Survivor: Cagayan–Brawn Vs. Brains Vs. Beauty is another promising pairing. 3 tribes of smart, beautiful, and strong castaways are going to prove to the others that they have what it takes to outwit, outplay, and outlast. What’s interesting is how the challenges are going to play out to ensure that every tribe has an equal chance in winning.
I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to seeing the Beauty tribe in water challenges this season. Hopefully, there’ll be an challenge with chocolate and peanut butter as a reward.
The Amazing Race
The most exciting and expensive race around the world is back for another season. The CBS television series has already visited 82 countries. How much more ’til they completely go around the world?
For its 24th season, which airs in the first quarter of 2014, The Amazing Race is doing another All-Star edition. 11 teams who’ve ran the race before are coming back for another shot at the million dollars.
According to spoilers, those who are coming back include former Big Brother contestants Brendon and Rachel (Season 20), Harlem Globetrotters Flight Time and Big Easy (Seasons 15 and 18), inspiring mother-and-son tandem Margie and Luke (Seasons 14 and 18), and cancer survivors father and son David and Connor (Season 22).
Pretty Little Liars
If you’ve been missing all of the lies and dirty secrets of Rosewood, then prepare for more dirt and shocking revelations as this teenage drama returns for Season 5 in June.
Emily, Hanna, Spencer and Aria sure make lying very, very sexy. Now that they know Ali is alive, they have to figure out who A is and, more importantly, keep her from ruining their lives, as well as the lives of their loved ones.
Pinoy fans are eager to see if another half-Filipino singer will generate buzz in the new season of American Idol.
Season 13 welcomes back Jennifer Lopez along with new judge Harry Connick Jr. Keith Urban retains his seat at the judges table.
Now that Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj are gone, we can expect more sensible judging and less catfights, snarky comments and eye-rolling. But you know what I’m more excited about? The hilarious audition clips from self-proclaimed “singers” who always end up flipping and cursing the cameras.
This comedy from the creator of Desperate Housewives is something to watch. It’s funny and a great way to pass time. It’s my guilty pleasure.
The Lifetime television series follows the lives of Beverly Hills maids Rosie, Zoila, Carmen and Marisol, who is actually a college professor who goes undercover to free her son who is wrongly accused of killing one of the maids’ friends, Flora. Marisol befriends Rosie, Carmen and Zoila to get to the truth and to do that, she has to scrub floors, wash dishes and put up with a lot of crap from rich bastards.
To anyone who has maids, let this show be a reminder to treat the help with kindness. We don’t know the dirt they have on us and what they’re willing to do to protect their interests.
The second season is said to air sometime in April.
Dr. Hannibal Lecter is downright scary, especially in the Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal. Haven’t you wondered why he turned out that way, though? The Hannibal series has the answer.
While I didn’t get to watch all of the episodes yet, I’ve seen enough of this television series to get hooked onto it.
Hannibal is critically acclaimed for its masterful writing and the compelling characters. Most importantly, it’s genuinely shocking, surprising, and scary.
Lucky for me, I still have time to catch up on previous episodes before the second season airs on February 28.
