X-Mini: The Thumb-Size Mini Speaker With Maximum Sound
When it comes to portable speakers, my motto is: the smaller, the better. Why? Because I don’t really expect to enjoy uber crazy quality sounds when I’m out and about. I just want to have something that I can bring with me anywhere with minimal effort, minimal weight and minimal hassle. So, the minute I saw the X-Mini, I knew this mini speaker would be perfect for my needs, regardless of the sound quality output. Plus points for having it in my favorite color (yellow)! Fortunately, I was quite impressed by what my ears heard from this mini speaker.
The X-Mini mini speaker is as simple as it can get. With it, you will get the mini speaker (obviously) and a cable to charge it with and to plug it into different devices as needed. The cable has a mini USB connector on one side and a standard USB and 3.5mm jack the other side for these purposes.
The best part? The X-Mini mini speaker is only 44mm in height and 44g in weight. In other words, it can fit into your jean pocket or your shirt pocket when you’re in a hurry or simply want to make sure your speaker is easily accessible and on-hand. You can even clip it onto your bag or hang it onto your belt loop if you want to because it comes with a strap exactly for those purposes.
This is my 4-year-old daughter holding the thumb-size mini speaker in her tiny hands.
The battery life of the X-Mini mini speaker is impressive, too. It only takes 1.5 hours to completely charge it with the USB micro cable and will last for about 6 hours in continuous play. The light on the side of the X-Mini mini speaker will let you know how much battery you have left at any given time. If it’s a bright blue, that means the battery is still full. If it’s a dim blue, that means it’s getting low. If it’s a bright red, that means it’s charging.
The most impressive thing about this mini speaker, though, is that it plays music very loudly considering how tiny it is. And if your Spotify Music Quality is set to Extreme, the X-Mini performs impressively. The sound is really brilliant and it doesn’t even struggle to produce loud sounds nor does it sound fuzzy or tinny. I was actually shocked by how loud it was the first time I played it.
If you need a simple and affordable speaker that is better than your phone speaker – one that you can take with you practically anywhere – this is the one for you. It even comes in other colours, including pink, blue and black.
