WOLF HOWL HARMONY from EXILE TRIBE (LDH JAPAN) officially unveils the music video (MV) for their latest song “One minute.” This MV release follows a string of viral successes, exciting live performances across Japan and Southeast Asia, and the release of their highly anticipated first EP “tera” last March 12.
The group showcases its versatility with the release of the “tera” EP, moving from the high-octane Brazilian-funk fusion of their previous single, “Gachi Funk“, to the sophisticated, saccharine “One minute”. This ballad highlights WOLF HOWL HARMONY’s signature strength, their outstanding vocal harmony.
In Just “One minute,” the World Can Change
“One minute” is a love song that captures the moment of reboot. It is the presence of someone special breaking through a daily life that had almost come to a standstill. A symbolic piano melody illuminates the hollow spaces in the heart. In the latter half, the track shifts to a 2-step beat, and a key change releases all pent-up emotions.
“Even in the midst of busy days or moments of uncertainty, there are times when simply thinking of someone’s smile or presence suddenly makes the world feel a little brighter,” said songwriter LOAR, sharing his inspiration for the song, which incorporates many ideas from members. “We hope that the ‘One minute’ in each listener’s everyday life can become a moment that shines a little brighter.”
Member RYOJI shared his first impressions: “When I first heard this song, I felt a refreshing wave of hope wash over me, like my emotions were bursting.” He added that the love song carries a special message to their fanbase, affectionately referred to as LOVERED, “The light you gave us will help us love ourselves and start moving forward. The song is about taking a step forward for yourself. Even in just one minute, the future can change. We hope to bring that kind of presence to you too.”
Sharing his visions for the MV, director Spikey John—who is part of Forbes JAPAN 30 Under 30 2023—commented: “We focused on ‘the moment you think of someone important on an ordinary day.’ The feelings toward family, friends, loved ones, and fans are reflected in these scenes of everyday life.” He added a sincere message, “I would be happy if this piece helps people feel the ‘ordinary happiness’ that exists close to them.”
“One minute” serves as a “sweet dessert” to the EP, a long-overdue treat for the group’s fanbase. Their melodic hits, such as “Sugar Honey” and “Marmalade” have already garnered over 6.4 million YouTube views and 8.3 million Spotify streams combined.
