Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator of hit musical Hamilton, gave a tearful acceptance speech as he received the Tony Award for best musical score.
In the touching sonnet, he pays tribute to his wife and acknowledged the victims of the Orlando night club shooting. Amidst tears, he says, “We rise and fall and light from dying embers, remembrances that hope and love last longer and love is love is love is love is love is cannot be killed or swept aside.” Watch the whole thing here:
