WATCH: Tokyo 2020 Music Video Gives a Glimpse of Japanese Culture

This month, the Tokyo 2020 music video that shows a promotional song for the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games in Japan was unveiled.

The music video features the “Tokyo Gorin Ondo 2020” song with matching choreography. The performers on the video were wearing Tokyo 2020 yukata summer kimonos.

Apparently, the original Tokyo Gorin Ondo song was written and recorded for the 1964 Olympics and Paralympics. which also happened in the capital city of Japan.

Japanese singers Sayuri Ishikawa, Yūzō Kayama, and Pistol Takehara performed on the music video.

The music video was created along with the updated lyrics and new arrangement in the hopes of engaging the younger audience.
