In a world where ads and social media teach people to go through great efforts to look good according to the unattainable standards of the world, it’s always a precious moment to find something that teaches us the opposite–accepting yourself as you are.
This is why the upcoming film Wonder is one that is sure to be an inspiration to all types of people.
The film, which is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by RJ Palacio, is about a 10-year old kid who suffers a rare medical deformity. As he’s about to start attending a real school for the first time, Auggie has to face bullies and bad people because of his condition.

Wonder, which stars Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson, shows us inspiring courage from a ten-year old’s perspective, and how he comes to learn to love himself. It also puts into focus the wonders of being kind to all people–you never know how much impact a simple “hi” can make to another person.

Wonder is set to premiere in the US in November. We’re still waiting for the schedule of the Philippine release.
