When animated-plus-live-action film Saving Sally released in 2016, it became the talk of the town due to its unconventional look. In a few months time, it seems that Filipinos will be looking forward to another animated film that’s proudly Pinoy. Saving Sally director Avid Liongoren is back with a witty animated film, Hayop Ka!
The trailer was just recently released, and it looks promisingly hilarious. Check it out below:
Hayop Ka! is about Nimfa, a cat who’s a perfume saleslady, and is caught in an affair between her askal boyfriend Roger and her business-dog lover Iñigo.

While the film’s premise already got us hooked, especially when combined with the animation’s adorable and easy-to-watch look, the well-written and witty dialogue is also something to look forward to.
Plus, it’s got a star-studded cast! Angelica Panganiban, Robin Padilla, Sam Milby, Empoy, and Arci Muñoz team up to bring these relatable characters to life!
There’s no word yet as to when it will be released, but we’re all excited to catch Hayop Ka! in theaters!
