During his State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City, Marcos said the government will continue to prioritize the development of railways and transport hubs, including the opening of 12 MRT-7 stations.
At balang araw, aabot pa ito hanggang San Jose del Monte, Bulacan,” he added.
The President said the expansion is expected to provide much-needed relief to more than one million passengers daily.
According to the Philippine News Agency, the MRT-7 project will have 14 stations in total:
- North EDSA
- Quezon Memorial Circle
- University Avenue
- Tandang Sora
- Don Antonio
- Batasan
- Manggahan
- Doña Carmen
- Regalado
- Mindanao Avenue
- Quirino
- Sacred Heart
- Tala
- San Jose del Monte
The project is expected to significantly reduce travel time between North Avenue in Quezon City and San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
