On July 26, the Department of Tourism announced that the P-pop kings will proudly raise our flag and represent the country as the newest tourism ambassadors.

“SB19’s talent is undeniable—their music is powerful, and so is their influence. They have the reach to connect with fans across the United States, Europe, ASEAN, and beyond,” said Tourism Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay in an official statement. “And in the U.S., we’re seeing that influence become something real: Filipino Americans who grew up watching SB19 online are now booking flights home, some for the first time in years, just to see them perform on their home turf.”

“We’re seeing the same thing across ASEAN, where SB19’s fandom is just as strong, and where a short flight makes that pull even easier to act on. Whether it’s a Filipino American flying halfway across the world or a fan in Taiwan or Bangkok just a few hours away, SB19 is giving people real reasons to visit the Philippines. That’s the kind of reach we want to build on,” she added.

The DOT shared that the P-pop group will work with the government agency to “encourage A’TIN worldwide to visit the Philippines and experience its culture firsthand.”

More details regarding a series of succeeding events showcasing Philippine tourism and local Pinoy culture will be announced in the future.

Following this good news, the group’s official social media pages acknowledged this huge responsibility and proudly announced that they are now the newest tourism ambassadors.

Representing the Philippines on and off the stage. We’re proud to begin this new chapter as the Philippines’ newest tourism ambassadors. From the Philippines to the world!” SB19’s social media pages wrote.

Composed of members Josh, Pablo, Stell, Ken, and Justin, SB19 is best known for their chart-topping tracks such as “MAPA,” “Gento,” “Visa,” “Dungka!,” and “Dam.”

This July, A’TIN will see the P-pop leaders perform at the GRAMMY Museum on July 28, take the first ceremonial first pitch at the Chicago White Sox vs. New York Yankees game on July 29, and perform at Lollapalooza 2026, which will run from July 30 until August 2.

Congratulations, SB19!
