Ben&Ben is expressing their heartfelt gratitude for the love and support of their new Korean fans in the very first episode of their new BBTV vlog on YouTube.
The band recently went trending in South Korea after a number of popular Kpop idols, including Young K of DAY6 and Mark of NTC, played their song “Leaves” during a live stream and complimented their sound.
“For this episode, we’ll be covering Kpop!” they cheered. “We are doing this because Kpop fans requested their idols to play our music and they played them during their live streams. As a thank you, we wanted to try our hand at Kpop songs.”
They shared that their Filipino fans have been requesting them to do Kpop covers or collabs over the past months and they’re happy to finally be able to do it.
They covered four songs from four different bands—”Beautiful Time” by NCT Dream, “Bad Boy” by Red Velvet, “You Were Beautiful” by DAY6, and “Feel Special” by Twice—which they performed with their own unique spin. Amazingly, the band’s vocalists, Pao and Miguel Guico, sang them in Korean!
