When In Manila, itโs easy to miss a lot of things in the rush of the city. Sometimes you have to take the time to stop and smell the dandelions in the garden.
ย Nestled in the heart of Bonifacio Global City is a small but spectacular art installation that just makes you want to sit and sigh with that feeling of peace and calm. Installed by the Offsite Gallery, The Garden is a small bouquet of lights and dandelions, all in different shades and colors.ย
ย Created by artists Dennis Lagdameo and Olivia DโAboville, The Garden in Bonifacio Global City was created with recyclable materials and bright LED lights, which makes it a very environment-friendly art installation. All of the materials used for the installation can be made into something new after. Itโs a place to play, sit back and relax (you can actually sit on some of the pieces!). If you were looking for a place to just sit and take stock of things, surrounded by a beautiful garden of lights, The Garden is the place to see. It’s like that scene in Alice in Wonderland where she meets the flowers, if the flowers glowed instead of sang.ย

Can you believe these dandelions were made out of coffee stirrers?

The path of flowers lead to a central area with standing dandelions. The spikes around the area are actually thorns (or are they grass?)

ย Looking at the installation makes you feel like a moth caught in the pretty lights of the dandelions. Now who says art has to be high-handed? What we love about The Garden in BGC is that itโs easily accessible to everyone. You donโt have to be a savant to appreciate it. ย Hereโs a tip: When in Manila, visit The Garden just as the sky is getting dark and watch the garden come to life!
