When it comes to feasts fit for a king, Vikings certainly knows how to deliver. At the SM BF branch located along Dr. A. Santos Avenue (formerly Sucat Road) and President’s Avenue in BF Homes, Parañaque City, they’re taking it up a notch with luxurious and delicate desserts, an awesome carving station and out-of-the-box dishes that are WAY too awesome to miss.
I’m talking about the recent food fest that happened last February 20, held in all 7 branches of Vikings Luxury Buffet. Chefs of all Vikings branches created unique dishes to the month’s theme of Yogurt, which you can get for free if you show the Vikings team that you follow their Instagram account and if you repost a certain @vikingsluxurybuffet photo.
The free dish is available for the first 100 pax per branch who claim the said dish 🙂
For the SM BF branch, Chef Von made a Lamb Patty in a Donut Bun with Yogurt Slaw and Guacamole, which is a really delicious and surprisingly cohesive dish. Although you can certainly tell that it’s not beef, you won’t know it’s lamb, either, because the musky aftertaste of the lamb is not there due to the lamb patty being marinated in yogurt.
The Yogurt Slaw, on the other hand, is a real treat because you get the same yummy taste but healthier as it doesn’t use any mayonnaise. And the Donut Bun? Surprisingly, it’s NOT GREASY! I’ve tasted my fair share of donut buns, and I believe that Chef Von of Vikings SM BF has given me a new perspective on them.
And of course, their buffet is superb as always. I could see and taste that the carving station and a few other stations have improved from their opening. Also, you will always have something special to check out here every week because they have the Chef’s Specials Station, which introduces specialty dishes of the chef based on a certain theme.
